New Line of Contemporary Push-Out Casement & Awning Windows And New Retractable Screen

MEDFORD, Wis. – February 4, 2019 Contemporary window and door design continues to capture the attention of architects and homeowners alike, with sleek lines, large expanses of glass, and high-end finishes and hardware as focal points in creating modern homes and commercial spaces.

In line with this design aesthetic, the Weather Shield Contemporary Collection has expanded to include a new line of Push-Out Casement and Awning Windows.

Combining great looks and uncompromising performance, the new windows are a flexible option for use alone, together, or in combination with other Contemporary Collection windows and doors for seamless design continuity.

Additionally, as a key point of differentiation for the new windows, they are offered with two hardware style choices — contemporary and transitional. These choices allow design continuity throughout Weather Shield’s product offerings, from windows to patio doors. Hardware is available in a variety of finishes, including Matte Black, Rustic Bronze, and Satin Nickel.

The new Push-Out Casement and Awning Windows also feature narrow profile frames and sash for a modern appearance. Additionally, offering window heights of up to 7 feet, they provide more exposed glass and expansive views to easily satisfy even the most discerning tastes for a contemporary design.

Plus, a newly redesigned hinged screen includes concealed hinges, a new screen frame, and rare earth magnets for improved operation.

“We continue to see a high demand for contemporary design for both homes and commercial spaces, so we’re pleased to offer a new line of our Contemporary Collection Push-Out Casement and Awning Windows to give architects, builders, and homeowners more choices to create a truly unique, modern design,” said Chris Schield, vice president of product marketing. “They are perfectly suited for those who desire the sleek, tailored aesthetic of contemporary design along with vast options in hardware, high-end finishes, premium stain offerings, and more.”

The Contemporary Collection Push-Out Awning and Casement Windows operate smoothly and easily with a turn of the handle and an outward push. Additionally, they feature a German-engineered locking system with adjustable roller cams, which provides superior performance and unrivaled operation at any size.

Meanwhile, as homeowners continue to seek out custom design choices for their homes, Weather Shield offers several options for high-end finishes, wood species, premium designer stains, and more for the perfect finishing touch.

Retractable Casement Screen

In addition, Weather Shield is launching its new Retractable Screen option for Casement Windows, which will be available for its Contemporary Collection and Premium Series.

Featuring one-touch retraction with a balanced operation, the new Retractable Screen offers a seamless appearance with no visible track system or exposed screen canister. This is a result of the purposeful design that recesses screen components into the side jamb and head of the unit, which maximizes total viewing area.

The new Retractable Screen also features a wood guide bar with a well-designed valence to create an upscale, low-profile appearance. And rare earth magnets hold the wood guide bar in the locked position, eliminating exposed fasteners or unsightly clips.
