California’s Transparency in Supply Chains Act

The California Transparency in Supply Chains Act Applies to certain retail sellers and manufacturers doing business in the State of California.  The Act requires these businesses to disclose their efforts to eradicate slavery and human trafficking from their product supply chains.

Weather Shield is committed to complying with all applicable laws providing equal employment opportunities and protection from illegal discrimination.  Weather Shield demands that its employees conduct themselves with integrity and professionalism and it expects its vendors, suppliers, and contractors to adhere to the highest ethical and business standards in the course of their dealings with Weather Shield.  Weather Shield provides training to its employees to ensure that their conduct conforms to all legal standards.  No specific training is held regarding risks within the supply chain on human trafficking and slavery.

At this time, Weather Shield does not verify or audit suppliers, nor contract with third parties to evaluate or certify specific compliance against company standards regarding human trafficking and slavery in the supply chain.  However, Weather Shield would investigate any reports or claims of non-compliance, and would take appropriate action, up to termination.
