Weather Shield Aspire Series Delivers Sophistication and Superior Performance in a Price-Sensitive, Low-Maintenance Product Line

Weather Shield Windows & Doors announced today the availability of its new Aspire™ Series of vinyl clad wood windows and patio doors for modest budgets. The Aspire Series offers the beauty of real wood interiors with low-maintenance, resilient extruded vinyl on the outside.
“The Aspire Series is an attractive, option-rich product line for builders and homeowners who want the best of both worlds: wood interiors and low-maintenance exteriors,” said Dave Koester, brand manager at Weather Shield. “Because it features the advanced technology of our new Symmetry Balance System™ on the double hungs and the TriCore™ frame technology on the casement, awnings and casement picture windows, the Aspire Series is incredibly sophisticated for an entry-level offering.”

The Aspire Series is the first of three new product lines to be introduced by Weather Shield as part of its “ReInvented” campaign. In the coming months, Weather Shield will share details of its new architectural and mid-price aluminum-clad wood product lines. Combined with new technology and renewed momentum, these product lines position Weather Shield strongly in every market segment.

Superior Technology
The Aspire Series includes casement, awning, double-hung, slider, and direct-set windows; and sliding and hinged patio doors, all with advanced technology to deliver optimum thermal performance.

The Aspire Series double hungs feature Weather Shield’s exclusive new Symmetry Balance System, which combines coil balance technology and an all-new jambliner for superior air and water performance, virtually effortless operation and striking appearance. The double hung units are among only a few in the industry to achieve a Class 3 AAMA rating.

Casements, awnings and picture windows in the Aspire Series will deliver excellent weather resistance and structural performance thanks to Weather Shield’s new TriCore frame technology, which creates a thermal barrier preventing the transfer of heat or cold to the inside of a building. Highly moisture-resistant materials, the fusion-welded sub frame, and the thick, multi-chamber sub frame components all work together to reduce weathering, minimize water infiltration and improve structural performance.

Aesthetic Appeal
The Aspire Series offers many features that add aesthetic appeal to the product line. The double hungs come with either a standard vinyl jambliner or an all-new wood jambliner that delivers architectural details and clean sightlines – a feature not often found on value-priced products.

The Aspire Series’ white, tan, or cameo-colored extruded vinyl clad exteriors resist fading in the sun and are less susceptible to dents, scratches, flaking and peeling than wood exteriors. In select geographic areas, Weather Shield offers its newest exterior color: desert tan. Interiors are standard pine, which can be primed or prefinished in one of four stain choices or painted white. Energy-efficient glazing options add to the thermal performance of the units. Glazing choices on the product line include: Zo-e-shield™ 5, Zo-e-shield 5 Extreme, Zo-e-shield 6, Zo-e-shield 7, Zo-e-shield Safeguard, Zo-e-shield Safeguard Certified, or Insul Low E2 with argon-gas-filled airspaces. For added customization, Simulated Divided Lites (SDL), Grilles-Between-Glass and Removable Wood Grilles are also available on the Aspire Series. All the products include a 20-year warranty.
