Purchase EnergySmart products from Weather Shield today and qualify for a credit of up to $1500 on your next federal tax return.

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 signed on February 17th by President Obama provides a tax credit for qualifying energy-efficient home improvements including windows and doors through 2010. Homeowners can receive a tax credit equal to 30% of their investment, up to $1,500.

In order to receive the tax credit, the window or door must achieve a .30 or lower U-factor and .30 or lower Solar Heat Gain Coefficient. This is more stringent than the current ENERGY STAR® specifications. Weather Shield is proud to offer an unequaled breadth of products that qualify for the tax credit.

Utilizing a number of EnergySmart solutions, such as Zo-e-shield®, the World's Best Energy Glass™ is an important differentiation for Weather Shield in meeting the strict criteria of the Act. With Zo-e-shield glazing options, the vast majority of our product styles meet or exceed the specified requirements (click in "Qualifying Products" on the right for a full listing). In fact, many of our products already meet the projected 2010 EnergyStart® requirement. few competitive brands can offer such flexibility!
